About the role

M Health Fairview is seeking a Housekeeping Aide at Woodwinds Health Campus. The position is 80 hours per two-week pay period on the Day Shift and is benefit eligible.

Responsibilities

  • Provides a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Performs cleaning assignments according to department procedures and protocols.
  • Uses proper chemical dilution ratios and follows infection control practices and procedures.
  • Follows proper procedures for assigned areas and completes assignments in a timely manner.
  • Uses proper equipment and supplies for tasks, replenishes supplies, and properly handles soiled and clean linens in assigned areas.
  • Handles biohazardous and non-biohazardous waste correctly, uses good body mechanics, and follows safe work practices.
  • Remains flexible to change assignments as needed and contributes process improvement ideas/suggestions.
  • Takes immediate action during emergencies, unlocks and secures building access, cleans emergency spills, and properly documents work assignments.
  • Demonstrates proper use and care of equipment, reports malfunctioning equipment, and uses safety precautions.
  • Uses appropriate verbal and nonverbal greetings, demonstrates a willing and helpful attitude, respects customer privacy, and performs activities respectfully, courteously, and responsively.
  • Transports furniture and equipment as requested and reports mechanical failures or negative conditions to appropriate supervisors.
  • Uses first-party communication, demonstrates respect for others, and offers and values constructive criticism.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, previous Housekeeping/Environmental Service experience, or previous experience in a similar role preferred.
