Housekeeping Aide

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, offices, and facility spaces
• Dust, mop, vacuum, sweep, and disinfect assigned areas
• Replenish supplies such as soap, paper products, and linens
• Properly dispose of trash and biohazard materials in accordance with facility procedures
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines at all times
• Respond promptly to housekeeping requests and facility needs
• Assist with laundry services as needed
• Maintain housekeeping equipment and report maintenance concerns
• Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure a clean and welcoming environment

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience preferred, especially in healthcare or long-term care settings
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Dependable, professional, and compassionate attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and infection control practices preferred
