As a patient ambassador, you will interact with patients while performing essential cleaning and sanitation duties, following infection control procedures, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Clean assigned areas using the 10 Step Cleaning method and follow specific requirements outlined in the duty list checklist.
- Use appropriate chemicals, techniques, and infection control procedures while cleaning.
- Perform floor care and maintenance, including burnishing, top scrub & recoat, strip and applying new finish, and bonneting, if qualified.
- Follow assigned duties listed on the daily checklist and incorporate scripting/GREAT into daily tasks.
- Adhere to all EPIC policies and procedures per department standards.
- Report maintenance or repairs needed immediately to management or note them on the daily checklist.
- Perform related services such as changing curtains and stocking supplies.
- Maintain equipment, tools, and storage areas in clean, orderly, and good operating condition.
- Manage inventory levels in each department, including:
- Exchange carts and AM carts, ensuring par levels are correct and delivering them to their destination.
- Counting and replenishing linen on carts to meet par levels before delivery.
- Restocking PM and rounding units with an iPad or other recording device to assess linen needs.
- Recording final data using the assigned iPad or other methods as requested by department leadership.
- Restock and deliver clean linen to various parts of the hospital, including clinics and outsourced couriers.
- Unload deliveries of clean linen, match counts to invoices, and maintain the orderliness and cleanliness of the inventory room.
- Communicate any problems or concerns to the Direct Supervisor or acting Supervisor while providing services on units.
- Present yourself professionally and effectively when interacting with hospital staff, including nurses, clinicians, Central Supply, and Environmental Service Department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay
Salary is based on qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
Pay Range: $16.98 - $25.47 per hour.
