Housekeeper (Full-Time)(Day Shift) - Gates House

About the role

Gates House is looking to hire a housekeeper to maintain a first-class community environment and support in a high-quality, cutting-edge senior living community. The goal is to create a clean and orderly environment for residents and their families that will help maintain and strengthen the community’s reputation.

Responsibilities

• Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas as assigned while meeting or exceeding company quality standards
• Collect, clean, and redistribute community laundry
• Partner with the community team to ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and promotion of risk management programs and policies
• Adhere to safety rules and regulations
• Practice safety procedures at all times, including use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire extinguishers, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and Lockout Tagout procedures

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Cleaner or Housekeeper preferred
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as iron, washer & dryer, brooms, mops, and vacuums
• Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
• Ability to follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment, which may require basic math conversions
• Ability to work quickly without compromising quality
• Basic knowledge of, and ability to read and communicate in, English
