Housekeeper, Full Time, Day Shift

About the role

The Housekeeper cleans and services all areas of the hospital and all buildings owned by the hospital, arranges furniture in an organized and orderly fashion, and keeps all equipment and storage areas clean and organized. This role has no access to patient health information but may have access to medication storage areas (excluding controlled substances) as related to job responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Follow written and oral directions
• Clean blood and body fluids
• Clean furniture, windows, restrooms, walls, and hard surface floors using dust mops and damp mops
• Replenish paper supplies and waste can liners
• Handle hazardous chemicals correctly
• Use cleaning equipment (e.g., vacuum cleaner)

Requirements

• Ability to read and write
• Cleaning experience is desirable but not essential (on-the-job training provided)

Physical Requirements

• Possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for the position, including standing, bending, stooping, and sitting for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds

Days, 8:00 AM start time, alternating weekends
