Housekeeper, FT, 6a-230p, Every Other Weekend REQUIRED

Job Summary

Housekeeper I and II positions available. Responsibilities include cleaning patient areas, maintaining hygiene, and following infection control policies. Positions require an understanding of hospital layout, waste disposal, and equipment maintenance. Safety-sensitive role.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Able to read and write
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
• Maintain good physical and emotional well-being
• Previous experience desirable but not required

Responsibilities

• Perform indirect patient care by cleaning and disinfecting patient areas
• Maintain a hygienically clean and hazard-free environment
• Remove trash and biohazardous waste from all areas of the hospital
• Request cleaning supplies and equipment as needed
• Maintain equipment - keeping it clean, neat, and in working condition

Job Knowledge

• Exhibit ability to set priorities, organize work load, and efficiently utilize supplies and equipment

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Knowledgeable with hospital layout
• Willingness to follow infection control policies and procedures
• Safety guidelines

Skills

• Understanding of hospital policies and procedures
• Equipment maintenance skills

Schedule

This is a first shift position. Hours are 6:00am to 2:30pm. It is a bi-weekly schedule with rotating weekends. Every other weekend is required. 40 Hours a week.
