Housekeeper, FT, 2P-1030P, Every Other Weekend REQUIRED

Job Summary

Unity Health is seeking candidates for the position of Housekeeper I and Housekeeper II. This role involves performing indirect patient care tasks such as cleaning occupied and unoccupied patient areas, maintaining hygiene, and ensuring a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and disinfection tasks in patient areas and common spaces.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of floors and other areas.
• Handle waste disposal according to proper policies and procedures.
• Request and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to read and write effectively.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Good physical and emotional well-being.
• Ability to sit, walk, bend, push carts, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Job Knowledge

• Exhibit ability to prioritize tasks and organize workloads.
• Efficiently utilize supplies and equipment.

Safety Sensitive

The position is considered safety sensitive due to the need to ensure a safe environment for patients, associates, and self. Any associate using medical marijuana must be excluded from employment in a safety sensitive position.
