Housekeeper, Evenings, ER at Martintown
About the Role
This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the hospital environment in an orderly condition at the ER at Martintown location, part of Aiken Regional Medical Centers in Aiken, South Carolina. Aiken Regional is a 273-bed acute care facility providing comprehensive healthcare services, including emergency care, orthopedic surgeries, maternity, rehabilitation, imaging, and wound care.
Responsibilities
- Cleans offices, patient rooms, classrooms, common areas, lavatories, halls, food service areas, and any other areas requiring attention.
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs, polishes floors, and vacuums hallways, stairs, and office spaces.
- Properly and safely uses cleaning chemicals according to given standards.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in a healthcare environment, is a plus.
- Ability to use housekeeping equipment such as vacuum cleaners, buffers, battery-operated equipment, mops, and carpet equipment.
- Reading and numerical competency.
- Strong customer service skills.
