About the role

The Room Attendant at Cambria Hotel Pittsburgh Downtown is responsible for ensuring cleanliness and orderliness of guest rooms. This position offers a competitive wage package, excellent benefits, and opportunities for growth within a dynamic hospitality setting.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and returns vacant dirty rooms to a clean status.
• Cleaning includes: light fixtures, ceilings and vents, walls, furniture, windows and window coverings, floors and carpets, changing linens and replenishing amenities.
• Stay over service to be completed for all rooms daily.
• Keep cart stocked and organized.
• Assist with special cleaning projects and with laundry as needed.
• Communicate maintenance needs.
• Ability to interact with guests in a friendly, courteous and helpful manner.
• Report any guest complaints to a supervisor immediately.
• The timely report of and return of lost and found items for processing.
• Follow all key control procedures.
• Performs all other duties as deemed necessary by management.

Requirements

• Housekeeping experience desirable.
• Neat, pleasant personality.
• Time management skills.
• Ability to work on feet for an extended period.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to read room numbers, dates, and basic instructions.
• Ability to move, traverse, position self to reach corners on floors and high places; observe conditions, detect odors, position and navigate carts weighing up to 50 lbs in tight spaces; operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads and dusters.
• Ability to lift, carry and position loads of at least 25lbs.
