Housekeeper

About the role

Maintain all public and common areas throughout the day including lobby, restrooms, drinking fountains and floors. Maintain the cleanliness of resident rooms and bathrooms.

Responsibilities

• Maintain handrails to ensure they are clean and free of debris
• Clean and remove dust, dirt or food off walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, towel dispensers
• Empty trash cans and replace liners
• Sweep and mop floors
• Utilize proper safety measures when cleaning, including the use of caution signage and keeping supplies and chemicals out of reach of the residents
• Use supplies and equipment in a safe manner by following the user manual instructions
• Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment and storage areas in a safe, sanitary, clean and orderly manner
• Notify the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing immediately regarding resident safety issues or concerns
• Supervision and provision of resident/staff/facility safety and procedure/protocol
