About the role

Provides for optimum cleanliness, sanitation, order and an aesthetically pleasing hospital environment.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key constituents and all levels of management and employees.
  • Demonstrate ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
  • Work independently.
  • Show basic level computer proficiency and ability to use email for department communications.
  • Operate or learn to operate housekeeping equipment; floor buffers, waxing and polishing machines, and other cleaning devices.
  • Adhere to standards of safety and infection control that meet federal and state regulations.
  • Show good organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use all housekeeping powered equipment.
  • Show good time management skills.
  • Demonstrate positive customer services skills.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write, and follow directions and/or oral instructions in English.
  • High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of previous housekeeping experience preferred.
