Essential Functions

• Cleans and restocks resident rooms
• Cleans and disinfects all public areas, including carpets, handrails, doors, windows, trash cans, and light fixtures
• Cleans bathrooms
• Gathers trash
• Determines appropriate chemical solutions for cleaning and disinfection
• Assists with laundry services, including sorting, drying, and distributing.
• Assures cottages have a supply of clean linens, cleaning supplies, and trash bags
• Schedules, comprehensive cleaning of dining room area

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning methods and practices
• Knowledge of cleansers, supplies, and equipment
• Knowledge of basic math
• Knowledge of state and facility policies and procedures
• Knowledge of universal precautions
• Knowledge of emergency procedures, cleaning methods, materials and equipment
• Knowledge of infection control standards

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Housekeeping)

Special Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
