House Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Cook up hospital operations during assigned shifts, including patient placement, staffing adjustments, and resource allocation across units.
• Serve as a clinical resource and point of escalation for nursing and clinical staff, assisting with complex patient-care situations as needed.
• Monitor patient flow, bed availability, and capacity; collaborate with physicians, nursing leaders, and ancillary departments.
• Support implementation of policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements; respond to emergent events and critical incidents.
• Communicate with leaders, staff, patients, and families to support safe, patient-centered care and service recovery when needed.
• Document shift activities, staffing decisions, and significant events; participate in quality and performance improvement activities.
