About the role
The House Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of group homes, focusing on daily tasks such as paperwork, medication management, and assisting with operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operation of group homes
- Perform tasks related to paperwork requirements, medication review, and project management
- Assist in the hiring process and provide orientation and training for DSP1s
- Schedule DSP1s to work open shifts or fill gaps in coverage
- Ensure all medications are available and dispensed correctly, and inform the Health Coordinator of any changes
- Monitor household needs, maintain supplies, and schedule haircuts as needed
- Manage finances, record expenses, and reconcile gas receipts
- Create and implement a monthly activity calendar, organize community outings, and ensure adequate staffing
- Coordinate celebrations for major holidays and birthdays
- Conduct monthly supervision reports and meetings with DSP1s
- Participate in emergency preparedness drills and walks-through
- Provide transportation and respond to emergencies
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School diploma or equivalent, or 6 months of experience in the Human Services field
- Valid driver's license and proof of insurance
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Comprehensive knowledge of CPR, First Aid, and DSP orientation
- Good communication and compassionate/caring work ethic

Pay
$19 per hour
Schedule
Monday-Friday with weekends and evenings as needed.
Driving Specifics
- No reckless driving violations within the last 5 years
- No driving under the influence/impaired/impaired or refusing a blood/breath test within the last 5 years
- No manslaughter or negligent homicide within the last 5 years
- No driving on a suspended or revoked license within the last 5 years
- No driving a commercial motor vehicle while disqualified, under the influence, with a blood alcohol level of .04 or higher, refusing a blood/breath test, or violating an out-of-service order within the last 5 years
- No vehicular assault or willful stopping, impeding, or damaging a vehicle within the last 5 years
- No blocking access to the service facility within the last 5 years
- No attempting to elude police within the last 5 years
- No passing a stopped school bus within the last 3 years
- No careless driving within the last 3 years
- No three or more minor moving violations within the last 3 years
