About the role

The New Mexico Boys & Girls Ranches seeks compassionate, dependable married couples to become Houseparents / Associate Houseparents for youth in their residential program. This position offers stability, structure, mentorship, and hope to kids who need positive role models.

Responsibilities

• Mentoring and supervising youth
• Teaching life skills such as cooking, laundry, cleaning, budgeting, punctuality, and communication
• Preparing meals and maintaining household organization
• Supporting educational goals and routines
• Transporting youth to school, appointments, activities, and events
• Reinforcing positive behavior and healthy relationships
• Aiding in the management of medications and minor illnesses/injuries
• Completing daily electronic documentation and reports
• Collaborating closely with treatment teams and staff
• Encouraging recreational activities, work ethic, and personal growth

Requirements

• GED or High School Diploma
• Valid driver’s license
• Clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check

Benefits

• Starting salary: $44,000–$48,000 per couple DOE
