Hourly Technician

About the role

The Laboratory Technician position is available in Dr. Xuewei Wang’s lab within the Department of Chemistry at Virginia Commonwealth University. Research areas include chemical sensors and drug delivery.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chemistry and/or cell/bacteria experiments under the guidance of the lab PI and senior group members.
• Collect and organize data in a reliable and efficient manner.
• Work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Chemistry, biology, or microbiology major or relevant experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Wet lab experience or cell/bacteria culturing experience preferred.

Skills

• Ability to collect and organize data efficiently.

Pay

Hourly rate will be determined based on qualifications, experiences, and skillsets of the selected candidate.
