About the role

Under the direction and supervision of the Coordinator/Administrator or Early Childhood Education Program Director and in cooperation with classroom teachers, provides supplemental instruction to assigned migrant students and performs other job related tasks as required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supplemental instruction to assigned migrant students
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to support student learning
  • Perform other job-related tasks as required by the supervisor

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Valid California Teaching Credential authorizing K–12 multiple subject instruction or a Valid California Single Subject (Mathematics) Teaching Credential

Desirable Qualifications

  • Knowledge of instructional material and methodology tailored to migrant students
  • Knowledge of current research, literature, and programs impacting migrant students
  • Ability to work cooperatively with parent and community organizations
  • Ability to develop curriculum modules and matching instructional activities
  • Ability to work well independently
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
