Hourly City Worker / Youth Employment Team Supervisor
Essential Functions
Ensures Department services are provided with exceptional customer service and the highest level of ethical standards.
Performs hillside brush clearance, weed abatement, landscaping, debris clearance and other general labor tasks on private and public property.
May also perform general office work.
Uses and/or supervises the use of power and hand tools; the hauling and dumping of debris; and the maintenance of tools and equipment.
Works weekday, evening and weekend hours.
Transports youth apprentice in City vehicles; facilitates staff meetings; prepares and reports time sheets and other paperwork.
Evaluates subordinate staff; performs other related duties as required.
Assumes responsibility for ensuring the duties of the position are performed in a safe efficient manner.
Performs other related duties as assigned or as the situation requires.
Minimum Requirements
- One year of recent supervisory experience, preferably in the supervision of youth.
- Graduation from high school or attainment of GED or CHSPE certificate and completion of 30 semester units of college work.
- Valid Class C California driver's license.
- Must obtain CPR Certification within six months of employment.
- Basic First Aid and CPR Certification; Valid California Commercial Drivers License, Class B.

Experience
Experience: One year of recent supervisory experience, preferably in the supervision of youth.
