Hourly Supervisor

About the role

Mex 1 Coastal Cantina is seeking an experienced, dependable hourly supervisor who leads by example and creates a great experience for both guests and crew. This hands‑on leadership role involves working alongside the team while supporting management with shift operations, service standards, training, and accountability. It offers an opportunity to develop leadership skills and grow into restaurant management.

Responsibilities

• Help oversee shift flow, delegate tasks, and set the crew up for success.
• Lead by example in guest service and team communication.
• Support the onboarding and training of new team members.
• Assist managers with opening and closing procedures, shift checklists, cleanliness, and organization.
• Serve as a trusted point of contact for the crew during shifts.
• Uphold Mex 1’s standards for food, service, and vibe.
• Help create a fun, positive, and welcoming environment.

Requirements

• Previous restaurant experience; 3–5+ years.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• A positive, approachable, and accountable leadership style.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• A team‑first attitude and willingness to work alongside the crew.
• Reliability, professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
• A genuine commitment to hospitality and the guest experience.

Compensation

Full‑time hourly rate of $24‑$26 per hour.
