Hotside / Coldside Commercial & Residential Appliance Repair Field Service Technician
About the role
Mr. Appliance is seeking Hotside and/or Coldside Commercial & Residential Appliance Repair Field Service Technicians who enjoy troubleshooting, repairing appliances, and improving the home life of families in the community. This role offers a fun, team-oriented environment with a focus on work-life balance and ongoing training.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair home appliances and commercial kitchen equipment, including:
- Ice machines
- Cooking equipment
- Walk-in coolers/freezers
- Standalone refrigerator coolers and freezers
- Residential appliances such as washers, dryers, dishwashers, refrigerators, ovens, ranges, and microwaves
- Provide cost estimates for repairs.
- Effectively communicate with customers to ensure they understand the services needed.
- Order parts and ensure efficient use of company materials.
- Collect payment for work performed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- EPA Type 1 or Universal CFC Certification required.
- Previous experience of one year or more in appliance repair is a plus.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $60,000 to $150,000 per year, depending on experience. Technicians are typically paid on a daily guarantee initially, transitioning to commission-based pay. Bonuses and commissions are available, with top technicians earning well over $100,000 annually. The TeamBuilder program offers additional multi-level bonus opportunities, potentially exceeding $10,000 per year per referred technician.
