The Town Pump Hotel Group is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Hotel Sales Manager to join their team. Responsibilities
- Effectively promote, prospect, and develop client relationships to secure room and meeting room bookings.
- Generate a target revenue percentage from sleeping rooms, events, and business meetings.
- Create budgets for booked events, covering labor, equipment, audiovisual, entertainment, and food costs.
- Demonstrate and communicate an understanding of profitability, oversee meeting room setup, and conduct regular check-ins with clients.
- Maintain the property management system with accurate business and customer account information.
- Ensure the property is maintained at a high standard through regular inspections, report any issues, and ensure work orders are completed.
- Prepare and submit monthly sales reports and participate in Revenue Management calls.
- Work closely with the General Manager, RDOS, and Franchise Revenue Manager (if applicable) to explore and implement new marketing strategies.
- Engage in various networking and educational activities to enhance business development.
- Respond to inquiries, make cold calls, send emails, and engage in face-to-face sales meetings.
- Participate in property inspections and report any necessary maintenance issues.
- Submit required monthly sales reports and participate in Revenue Management calls.
Requirements
- A background in sales or marketing is beneficial.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business correspondence and manuals.
- Proficiency in calculating figures and amounts like discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, areas, circumferences, and volumes.
- A one-year certificate from college or technical school, or six months of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
