About the role
Marcus Hotels & Resorts, a leading national hotel management company based in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking individuals for its 12-month, Marcus Leadership Development Program (MLDP).
Responsibilities
- Follow a structured rotation of assignments throughout the majority of departments on property to learn and understand the dynamic operations of the specific location and hospitality industry as a whole.
- Adhere to an established curriculum designed to develop leadership skills, business acumen, and a better understanding of operational standards.
- Participate in management and staff meetings while collaborating across departments and professional disciplines.
- Develop in-depth and regular rapport with guests, associates, and both corporate and property-based leadership.
- Opportunities for project work and task force assignments in your assigned and other locations.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled or have a degree from a college, university, 2 or 4-year program in hotel, restaurant, hospitality, tourism, food and beverage, etc., OR comparable industry experience and training.
- Must be open to relocation for program placement and following completion, should also be open to task force work assignments and opportunities.
- Able to interact with people at all levels of the organization in a professional manner.
- Possess strong interpersonal, verbal, analytical, and written communication skills.
- Desire to learn and contribute in a team-based environment.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment while remaining organized and detail-oriented.
- Willing and motivated to learn new skills, tasks, and software systems to meet the changing demands of the industry.
Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
