About the role

Marcus Hotels & Resorts, a leading national hotel management company based in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking individuals for its 12-month, Marcus Leadership Development Program (MLDP).

Responsibilities

  • Follow a structured rotation of assignments throughout the majority of departments on property to learn and understand the dynamic operations of the specific location and hospitality industry as a whole.
  • Adhere to an established curriculum designed to develop leadership skills, business acumen, and a better understanding of operational standards.
  • Participate in management and staff meetings while collaborating across departments and professional disciplines.
  • Develop in-depth and regular rapport with guests, associates, and both corporate and property-based leadership.
  • Opportunities for project work and task force assignments in your assigned and other locations.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled or have a degree from a college, university, 2 or 4-year program in hotel, restaurant, hospitality, tourism, food and beverage, etc., OR comparable industry experience and training.
  • Must be open to relocation for program placement and following completion, should also be open to task force work assignments and opportunities.
  • Able to interact with people at all levels of the organization in a professional manner.
  • Possess strong interpersonal, verbal, analytical, and written communication skills.
  • Desire to learn and contribute in a team-based environment.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment while remaining organized and detail-oriented.
  • Willing and motivated to learn new skills, tasks, and software systems to meet the changing demands of the industry.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Skills

Pay

The Marcus Leadership Development Program is a full-time, paid development program.
