Hotel Maintenance Technician Evening Shift

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance programs, inspect all equipment, and ensure all attractions are inspected professionally.
• Inspect building and other structures to determine functional systems, detect malfunctions, and make needed repairs.
• Replace or repair fixtures such as wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, etc., using appropriate tools.
• Unclog drains and perform minor plumbing repairs.
• Respond to emergency situations and assist the Maintenance Manager and Engineering Director in improving maintenance operations.
• Perform minor painting, carpentry, and masonry work.
• Prepare surfaces and apply paints, stains, and varnishes to various structures and equipment.
• Make notes and recommendations using established check sheets.
• Order essential supplies and equipment for the facility.
• Attend staff meetings and other meetings as assigned.
• Maintain a cooperative atmosphere among staff members.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• At least 1+ year of hands-on maintenance experience required.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a variety of systems, including plumbing, pneumatic, hydraulic, chemical feeder, HVAC, and electrical.
• General carpentry, drywall, and finish work abilities.
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to speak and read English, additional languages a plus.
• Ability to use ladders, lifts, and access confined spaces.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Fine motor skills for handling small parts and tools.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods.
• Ability to operate equipment, tools, and machinery safely.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (snow, cold, wind, rain, heat).
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces as needed.
• Ability to tolerate exposure to loud noise, fumes, dust, and chemicals.
• Ability to work long or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
