Hotel Housekeeper Supervisor

About the Role

The Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor ensures that guestrooms and common areas are clean, comfortable, well maintained, and serviced according to company and AAA specifications. Responsibilities

• Project a positive image and greet all guests and team members
• Actively coach, mentor, and develop team members
• Generate daily assignments for team members and perform property and guestroom inspections
• Check and report room statuses as needed
• Inventory and order departmental supplies
• Facilitate hotel lost-and-found operations
• Create work schedules and administer payroll
• Act as "Manager on Duty" to resolve guest conflicts
• Keep staff informed of pertinent information and liaise with other departments
• Ensure an adequate number of vacant/clean/inspected rooms are available throughout the day
• Generate shift reports recording key hotel statistics and incidents
• Promote job safety to limit accidents and injuries
• Grant PTO and conduct team member evaluations
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older
• High School diploma or GED required (or currently enrolled in a GED program to complete within 6 months of start date)
• Associate’s Degree in a related field or two (2) years of supervisory experience or one (1) year as a Dual-Rate Supervisor in a Wind Creek Hospitality Department or two (2) years of experience in the hiring position’s department
• Two (2) years of experience in Hotel Housekeeping preferred
• Must successfully pass a job interview, including a guest service audition
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Good writing and verbal communication skills (skills test may be administered)
• Must be able to stand and walk for the entire shift
• Must work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Must be able to operate standard office equipment (phones, computers, etc.)
• Must be in good physical condition and able to pass a physical fitness test
• Willing to travel and participate in training as required
• Willing and able to work odd or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must have an Occupational License (or ability to obtain and maintain one) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board

Pay

Base pay compensation: $18.45 - $25.00 per hour, with starting pay based on experience, qualifications, and skills.
