Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support housekeeping team members, including Room Attendants, Housepersons, and Laundry Attendants
- Inspect guest rooms, suites, and public areas to ensure adherence to brand standards and Forbes Travel Guide cleanliness expectations
- Assign daily tasks and manage room assignments based on occupancy and operational needs
- Ensure all rooms are cleaned, serviced, and released in a timely manner to meet check-in deadlines
- Provide ongoing coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members
- Maintain inventory of linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies; report shortages as needed
- Partner with Front Office and Maintenance teams to address guest requests, room discrepancies, and service recovery opportunities
- Affirm compliance with safety, sanitation, and OSHA standards
- Assist with onboarding and training of new team members, including standards, procedures, and service expectations
- Lead by example in professionalism, appearance, and adherence to uniform standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of housekeeping experience in a hotel or resort environment
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, products, and safety standards
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts based on business needs
