Job Duties

  • Oversees guest registration and room assignment.
  • Makes or confirms reservations, verifies and collects payments, and issues room keys.
  • Contacts housekeeping or maintenance for guest issues.
  • Manages daily front desk operations and provides training to front desk clerks.
  • Maintains front desk equipment and supplies and controls guest access to safe deposit boxes.
  • Tracks and posts charges to guests' accounts, conducts bookkeeping duties, and records patron comments and complaints.
  • Trains front desk staff in check-in/out procedures, telephone procedures, shift procedures, hotel amenities, and computer system operations.
  • Trains front desk staff in and follows financial control procedures for cash, vouchers, inventories, and receivables.
  • Processes Players Club applications and issues Players Cards.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to foster a supportive team environment.
  • Promotes superior guest service.
  • Two to four years of hospitality experience at a hotel casino resort complex.
  • Strong organizational, managerial, and communications skills.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to input and access information in the property management system/computers/point of sales system.
  • Able to work various shifts, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours.
  • Able to withstand prolonged standing.
