Job Duties
- Oversees guest registration and room assignment.
- Makes or confirms reservations, verifies and collects payments, and issues room keys.
- Contacts housekeeping or maintenance for guest issues.
- Manages daily front desk operations and provides training to front desk clerks.
- Maintains front desk equipment and supplies and controls guest access to safe deposit boxes.
- Tracks and posts charges to guests' accounts, conducts bookkeeping duties, and records patron comments and complaints.
- Trains front desk staff in check-in/out procedures, telephone procedures, shift procedures, hotel amenities, and computer system operations.
- Trains front desk staff in and follows financial control procedures for cash, vouchers, inventories, and receivables.
- Processes Players Club applications and issues Players Cards.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster a supportive team environment.
- Promotes superior guest service.
- Two to four years of hospitality experience at a hotel casino resort complex.
- Strong organizational, managerial, and communications skills.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to input and access information in the property management system/computers/point of sales system.
- Able to work various shifts, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours.
- Able to withstand prolonged standing.
