Hotel Front Desk / Guest Service Agent

About the role

Ideal candidates will have prior customer service experience, the ability to provide exceptional service, the ability to work independently, and the ability to problem solve. This position may be scheduled between 6 am and 11 pm; availability for weekends and holidays is required. The current opening seeks applicants who can work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings from 3 pm to 11 pm, with potential for cross-utilization on additional shifts or other hotel opportunities.

Requirements

• Successful history as a front desk agent or related customer service experience
• Understanding of hotel Property Management Software (PMS) systems
• Flexible schedule to meet business needs
• Task-driven individual who focuses on guest satisfaction with each interaction
• Maintains a composed, gracious, and professional attitude
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Must successfully pass a background check

Responsibilities

• First point of contact with guests; handles all stages of a guest’s stay
• Accommodates and anticipates guest needs; responds promptly and professionally
• Serves as the information liaison for the property and guests using all communication avenues
• Provides up-to-date information regarding the hotel, area attractions, and events
• Processes and collects payments, adhering to all cashier procedures
• Maintains a clean and neat front desk area

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
• Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods
• Exposure to indoor/outdoor temperatures near the main entrance
• Exposure to various noises and volumes from computers, telephones, printers/scanners, radios, and TVs in the lobby
