About the role

The Restaurant Supervisor at Hyatt Regency San Antonio is responsible for leading and supporting the team in ensuring efficient service and high-quality products across multiple outlets. This role involves coaching, training, scheduling, and managing the daily operations of the kitchen and bar.

Responsibilities

  • Support senior leadership by developing and assuming basic leadership responsibilities.
  • Lead other associates by coaching, giving direction, and managing tasks such as training, scheduling, payroll, interviewing, procuring product, marketing, and assisting staff.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the floor to ensure the overall success of service.
  • Ensure that each outlet (MKT, Q Kitchen and Bar) is equipped with essential supplies.
  • Manage the performance of the food and beverage outlets, focusing on product quality and service standards.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of food and beverage experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Ability to work any shift, including weekends and holidays.
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills.
  • A professional appearance and confident demeanor.
  • Extremely detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics that inspire employees to exceed standards and expectations.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent customer service and interface skills.
  • Positive food and beverage knowledge, including TABC and Food Handler Certification.
