Hotel Engineer

Duties

• Communicate with hotel guests and maintain a friendly and pleasant demeanor.
• Do not disturb room amenities or linen in any room.
• Do not use towels for rags.
• Clean up after each job performed and return all tools and materials to proper storage areas.
• Keep in contact with housekeeping department, block and unblock as needed.
• Order all parts needed for stock.
• Use all safety equipment as required.
• Be safety minded and respond to hazards immediately.
• Assist and perform related duties in all areas of the Engineering Department as needed.
• Keep all work areas clean.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or trade school equivalent is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools is required.
• An excellent knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and heating and air conditioning is required.
• Previous casino maintenance experience or commercial properties is preferred.
• The ability to be organized, flexible, and able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines is required.
• The ability to fully understand directions and read and write English language is required.
• The ability to stand, walk, and bend for long periods of time and be able to lift 50 pounds comfortably is required.
