Engineer

Responsibilities

• Drive optimization of facility for clients, customers, and staff in a safe operating condition;
• Conduct preventative and reactive maintenance;
• Resolve immediate operational and building safety concerns;
• Regularly inspect and conduct preventive tests to ensure proper working condition of all the building's equipment and overall operational infrastructure;
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair or replace failed equipment and/or non-functioning components, belts, filters, etc.
• Cookout efforts with vendors and/or third parties for the most complex repairs or for services under warranty and inspect completed repairs to ensure proper operation.
• Conduct various locksmith tasks and/or the management of key security.
• Participate in and/or may lead special projects related to the improvement of building operations and efficiencies.
• HVAC troubleshooting and preventative maintenance;
• Electrical work including re-lamping, ballast replacement and breaker reset;
• Plumbing fixture repairs, drain maintenance, and restroom preventative maintenance;
• Perform Inspection and Maintenance of café/kitchen equipment;
• Manage and support maintenance of elevators, fire life safety devices, and UPSs;
• Access Door and Overhead Door repair/adjustment, as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in operations maintenance or similar building engineering roles;
• EPA Certification;
• High school diploma or vocational or trade school;
• Experience working on HVAC systems;
• Strong knowledge of work order control procedures;
• Ability to work at heights using ladders or similar tools;
• Basic computer proficiency (Word, Outlook, Smartphone);
• Must possess valid driver’s license;
• Must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines;
• Work independently and as part of a team, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and/ or carry minimum 50 pounds;
• Daily specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus;
• Must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods;
• Must participate in On-Call rotation schedule as assigned.
