About the role
Greeting guests arriving at and departing from the resort, providing prompt and friendly service with luggage from car to hotel check-in. Escort guests to the room, providing information that will make their stay comfortable, safe, and enjoyable.
Responsibilities
- Provides prompt, friendly service to ensure guest satisfaction and return visits.
- Promptly greets customers entering the resort, opening exterior resort doors and/or assisting with luggage removal from the car and carrying them to the front desk for check-in.
- Escorts guests to accommodations, visually inspects rooms and points out room features.
- Responds to guest inquiries, providing directions, information, and assistance as appropriate.
- Delivers mail, packages, and other items to the guest room.
- Responds to guests' request for assistance with luggage upon departure, moving luggage from room to vehicle or storage area.
- Handles delivery of group luggage upon request.
- Maintains luggage carts, ensuring carts are clean, in good working condition, and easy access.
- Maintains the luggage storage area organized, ensuring ease with storage and retrieval.
- Cleans and maintains lobby area from debris, fingerprints, clutter on tables, etc.
- Depending on staffing needs, may assist with utility, housekeeping, or valet staff duties as needed.
- Comply with company regulations, codes, policies, and procedures.
- Promote a safe workplace, appropriately using equipment and materials.
- If encountering a safety hazard, promptly mark off the area to prevent injury and notify the supervisor of concern.
- Report any unusual situations or circumstances to the supervisor.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Six months of guest service experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- High School Diploma or GED or 10 years of experience.
- Professional appearance and manner.
- Need to bend, lift, and maneuver bulky items up to 50 lbs., push a cart containing up to 200 lbs., good auditory acuity to respond to verbal dialogue.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred must Possess a valid driver’s license with no history of motor vehicle-related citation or arrest conviction(s) within the last five (5) years in any state per WRC insurance requirements.
