ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Make sure all Crane parts are in working order and set points are correct per work instructions.
- If necessary, make proper adjustments.
- Operation the vacuum crane to remove plate from the line and any other crane operation in the plate shop.
- Packages all the material ran thru the line assisted by Temporary Personnel (when material permits).
- Have basic knowledge about the functions of the pickling line.
- Visually inspect of the plate as it is getting moved over to the packaging area to ensure proper chemical pickling has occurred.
- Know the possible defects during the pickling and shear process.
- Check plate measurements (width, length, thickness) on each plate received from pickling and shear line in coordination with the shear operator.
- Obtain each plate spanision weight ran thru the line.
- Verify stencil ID number on each plate provided from previous line.
- Attach plate's barcode tag on each plate spanision ran thru the line.
- Log comments on plate tracking sheet about the material that has been processed.
- Inspect black plates when necessary.
- Follow all prescribed safety rules.
- Housekeeping/ Maintenance works as assigned.
- Any other tasks assigned to you by your Turn Lead, Group Lead or Supervisor.

- Participation in relevant continuous improvement programs.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum requirements of a High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), basic computer skills and strong communication skills.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Mobility in plant
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk
- Frequent use of hands for technical tasks
- Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
- Visual ability with or without correction
- Communication abilities
HEALTH AND SAFETY
- Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations
- Follow Company safety rules
- Report the absence of or defect in any protective equipment or clothing to the Supervisor or Manager immediately
- Use or wear the equipment, protective devices or clothing that is required to be used or worn: Safety shoes, Safety glasses, Hearing protection, Hard Hat
- Some areas may require additional personal protective equipment such as: Respirators, Fire Retardant clothing, Acid PPE
- Report to the Safety Coordinator, Group Lead or Supervisor any contravention of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations or Company policy
- Follow all Lock out Tag out (LOTO) guidelines for designated machines
- Follow all Environmental Policies and Regulations
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
