Our client, a leading Energy Technology and Power Generation company, is seeking a Hot Gas Path (HGP) Design Engineer to join their team in Greenville, SC.
About the role
As part of the Fleet Engineering Department, you will support the Hot Gas Path Engineering and Gas Turbine Services Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on gas turbine hardware.
- Conduct structural, modal, thermal, and forced response analyses.
- Perform life prediction assessments including fatigue, creep, oxidation, and fracture mechanics.
- Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and urgent engineering requests from field teams.
- Present technical findings and recommendations during design reviews and stakeholder meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline.
- 6+ years of engineering design experience, including 6+ years with ANSYS/Mechanical FEA.
- 3+ years of NX CAD experience.
- Knowledge of GD&T, engineering drawings, and PLM/Teamcenter systems.
- Must be a U.S. Person eligible to view Export Controlled Material.
