Host - Restaurant

Job Summary

The Yardley Inn, a member of Genesis Hospitality, is seeking a Host/Hostess for a Part-Time position. Candidates must be willing to work weekdays, weekends, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the open dining sections of the restaurant for empty and cleaned tables.
• Estimate wait times for guests and review guest waiting list.
• While guests are waiting, make sure they are made comfortable and kept informed of the status of their orders or wait times.
• Answer the telephone, book reservations, and move tables together to accommodate large parties.
• When a table is available, escort guests to the dining room.
• Ensure that guests' drink orders are filled and given to the responsible food server once seated.

Physical Demands

• Regularly use hands to handle or feel;
• Frequent standing and walking;
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, and focus.

Working Conditions

• Restaurant/banquet environment;
• Moderate to high noise level;
• Workplace environment conditions include:

• Regular physical activity;
• Mental demands;
• High noise levels;
• Modest heat or cold.
