Restaurant Host

About the role

A Restaurant Host is the first person to meet a guest when they enter a restaurant, and they're in charge of the beginning part of the dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and cleans tables before guests arrive.
• Seats guests and manages the seating chart.
• Makes recommendations for menu items based on guest preferences.
• Monitors restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow.
• Responds to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
• Ensures that the restaurant operates smoothly and efficiently.

Requirements

• Performs opening and closing duties, as needed.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and available for all shifts.
• Outstanding people skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a food service environment preferred.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Attention to detail.
