About the role
The Host Person at Sun City Lincoln Hills Community Association’s Meridian Restaurant serves as the first point of contact for members and guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Greeting and seating guests
- Managing reservations and waitlists
- Cooking and serving food
- Communicating effectively with servers and management
- Supporting front of house cleanliness
- Assisting with service as needed
- Handling to go orders and meal deliveries for community residents
- Using computers for reservations
- Daily opening, running, and closing side work
- Performing physical tasks such as bending, lifting up to 35 lbs., and moving throughout indoor and outdoor areas with varying temperatures
- Working extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to use computers for reservations
- Ability to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting up to 35 lbs., and moving throughout indoor and outdoor areas with varying temperatures
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to stay focused and cheerful in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
- Adaptability, alertness to safety and environmental conditions, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions while maintaining a high standard of service and professionalism
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications: Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Food handler’s card must be obtained within 30 days of employment

Pay
Salary range: $15 - $20 per hour
