Job Requirements
- Place orders, clean carts, provide menus, print tickets, assemble, and deliver meals to patients.
- Ensures trays are accurate per the My Dining printed tray ticket and appropriate for the patient’s ordered diet.
- Helps with tray compilation on the line and delivers trays to patient floors.
- Picks up dirty trays for delivery to the dish room.
- Ensures all patients are aware of the bedside meal program.
- Interacts with patients, nurses, secretaries, and family and friends of patients.
- Maintains floor pantry stock and rotates stock as needed.
Rotating shift: Days, Evenings, and rotating weekends.
Host/Hostess/Tray Deliver
- Buils trays at the end of the tray line and places them onto holding carts.
- Delivers trays to patients within the established time frame.
- Picks up dirty trays and places them for delivery to the dish room.
Work Experience:
- Prior experience in food service or retail preferred.
- The incumbent may require up to 2 months of detailed job orientation and training to gain specific capabilities to perform essential job functions.
Skills & Abilities:
- Works well under time constraints.
- Works on multiple assignments under minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Reads and understands English.
- Understands and follows directions.
- Uses basic math skills.
- Communicates effectively with patients of all ages.
- Communicates effectively with members of the floor staff.
Pay Range: $17.00 - $20.37
