About the role
We are seeking a friendly and outgoing Host/Hostess with food and beverage experience to join our Pier Sixty-Six Resort opening team. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm welcome and ensuring their experience starts positively. This role supports our resort pools across three levels, requiring a passion for personalized service and guest engagement in a high-volume, dynamic environment.
Reporting to the outlet Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, you will thrive in a fast-paced luxury setting, delivering exceptional customer service at Fort Lauderdale’s new hot spot.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor upon arrival.
- Assist in seating Members and guests according to seating chart or guest preferences.
- Manage waitlist during peak hours and provide accurate wait time estimates.
- Answer phone calls and take reservations or provide information as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station and dining area.
- Manage guest inquiries, complaints, or special requests with professionalism and efficiency.
- Adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
- Effectively communicate with peers, management, line, and front-of-house employees.
- Practice effective listening (seek to understand).
- Perform related duties as required.
- Be responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area as well as the general property.
- Adhere to proper grooming, dress, and uniform standards as set forth by Resort policy.
- Be courteous to all guests and coworkers.
- Maintain behavior consistent with sexual harassment/hostile work environment policy dictated in the Employee Handbook.
- Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers, non-alcoholic selections, correct glassware, and garnishes at their respective outlet.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by Supervisors.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED recommended.
- Some College experience or Degree recommended.
- Previous Host experience in a professional setting is preferred.
