About the Role

Pier Sixty-Six invites dedicated, energetic, and polished hospitality enthusiasts to join our team as a Host/Hostess at Pelican Landing. As the first point of contact for guests, you will provide a warm welcome and ensure their experience starts positively. This role supports our resort pools across three levels, requiring a passion for personalized service and guest engagement in a high-volume, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor upon arrival.
• Assist in seating members and guests according to seating charts or preferences.
• Manage waitlists during peak hours and provide accurate wait time estimates.
• Answer phone calls, take reservations, or provide information as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station and dining area.
• Manage guest inquiries, complaints, or special requests with professionalism and efficiency.
• Adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with peers, management, and front-of-house employees.
• Practice effective listening and seek to understand guest needs.
• Perform related duties as required, including maintaining cleanliness of work areas and the general property.
• Adhere to proper grooming, dress, and uniform standards as set by resort policy.
• Be courteous to all guests and coworkers.
• Maintain behavior consistent with the sexual harassment/hostile work environment policy.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers, non-alcoholic selections, correct glassware, and garnishes at the outlet.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by supervisors.

Experience, Education, & Licensure

• High School Diploma or GED recommended.
• Some college experience or degree recommended.
• Previous host experience in a professional setting is preferred.
