Host / Hostess (PT) (BOS Airport)

$21.50 / Hour, Part Time. Weekend availability required.

About the Role

SSP America operates multiple restaurants inside the Boston Logan International Airport. We are looking for a friendly and energetic Host/Hostess to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will set the tone for an exceptional dining experience by providing a warm welcoming face. Responsibilities

• Greet all guests in a courteous and professional manner and escort them to their table
• Manage the seating chart and coordinate table assignments for smooth service flow
• Assist guests with children and special needs, as required
• Present menus, answer questions and offer suggestions regarding food and service
• Inform servers and management of special needs and/or potential problems with guests
• Clear and reset counters or tables at conclusion of each course
• Ensure complete guest satisfaction
• Thank guests as they leave and ensure they had a great experience
• Other duties as assigned

Skills & Other Requirements

• 6 months' experience working in a customer service, retail, hospitality or food service environment
• High school diploma preferred
• Verbal and written communication in English
• Experience in dealing with problems involving customer service
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
• Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, etc.
• Ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
