About the Role
The Greeter is responsible for providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere to guests and visitors upon their arrival at a business establishment or event. They serve as the initial point of contact, offering assistance, information, and guidance as needed to enhance the customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and visitors with a friendly and welcoming demeanor as they enter the establishment
- Offer a warm smile and verbal greeting to create a positive first impression
- Provide directions or assistance to guests to help them navigate the premises
- Offer information about the services, amenities, and facilities available at the establishment
- Answer questions from guests regarding hours of operation, location of specific areas, and other inquiries
- Direct guests to appropriate staff members or departments for further assistance
- Maintain order and organization in waiting areas, ensuring guests are seated or attended to promptly
- Manage guest reservations, waiting lists, and seating arrangements as necessary
- Communicate estimated wait times and update guests on their status as needed
- Accommodate special requests or preferences from guests, such as seating preferences or accessibility needs
- Relay special requests to relevant staff members or departments to ensure they are fulfilled promptly
- Listen attentively to guest feedback, concerns, or complaints, and address them courteously and professionally
- Notify management or appropriate personnel of any issues that require further attention or resolution
- Ensure that waiting areas, entrance ways, and other public spaces are clean, tidy, and presentable
- Monitor and restock supplies such as brochures, menus, or informational materials as needed
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to dress code policies
- Strive to exceed guest expectations by providing exceptional service and attention to detail
- Foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere that encourages guests to return in the future
