Host/Hostess Part-time | BLVD Kitchen & Bar

Duties and Responsibilities

• Check in all employees and highlight on the Open Table system.
• Answer the phone, take reservations, and take takeout orders.
• Ensure menus are clean and organized.
• Greet, check in, and seat guests.
• Print any special chits off Open Table with special instructions and hand off to the server upon their checking in.
• Review all table reservations and map out the plan for the shift.
• Utilize table software to make sure to capture important information about guests.
• Work with the manager on the floor to ensure the proper wait time.
• Ensure restrooms and the host stand are clean, stocked, and organized.
• Interact with guests to ensure a positive dining experience.

Knowledge And Skills

• Excellent communication skills (verbal interactions with management, servers, team members, and guests).
• Basic reading and computer skills.
• Ability to visually scan the restaurant for clean, unoccupied tables.
• Ability to work well with others and independently.
• Ability to organize and multi-task.

Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work

This is an hourly paid position. Days and hours of work vary according to business hours and job requirements. The business operates seven (7) days a week; and hours start as early as 9 AM and can go as late as 2 AM depending on the work required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 30 pounds on a regular basis throughout the shift.
• Requires ability to complete physically demanding responsibilities such as walking, standing, carrying, and lifting continuously throughout the shift.

Pay

$15.00 USD - $18.00 USD per hour
