Host Home Provider

About the role

Open your home to someone with a disability and make a positive impact on their life as a Foster Care/Host Home Provider. This independently contracted position provides a 24/7 family-like setting for an individual with developmental and/or physical disabilities in the Amarillo, TX area.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and comfortable home for an individual with disabilities.
• Ensure the basic physical and emotional needs of the individual are met to support a high-quality life.
• Establish a comfortable, supportive, and genuine relationship with the individual you house and support.
• Allow supervisory visits in your home.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Previous experience working as a Direct Support Professional is required.
• Must successfully complete trainings through Community Options.

Pay

Host Home Providers are contracted and reimbursed at a per-diem rate. They also receive monthly room and board from the individual they support—this income is tax exempt.
