Host- Casual Dining- Full Time

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Accurately process payments for food and beverage purchases
• Follow all cash handling procedures and internal controls
• Respond to guest inquiries and escalate concerns when needed
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and team members
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Six months to One year of previous cashier experience preferred
• Literacy and fluency in Vietnamese or Chinese Language a plus
• Good communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with guests and employees
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting and independently
• Must adhere to uniform/appearance requirements
• Ability to appreciate and be friendly with all Harrah’s Gulf Coast Team Members who are of various ethnic and cultural backgrounds

Physical, Mental & Environmental Demands

• Able to read, write and speak English sufficiently to perform job
• Able to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
• Able to preform these operations using units of American money
• Able to work any shift, holidays and weekends
• Able to tolerate cigarette/cigar smoke and e-cigarette vapor
• Responds to visual and aural cues
• Able to stand for 8 hours
• Able to occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to stoop, reach and bend as necessary
• Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guest demands in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust
