About the role
A host is responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests in a part-time position based in Burbank, CA.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests in a friendly and inviting manner
- Engage with guests who call with questions
- Seat guests in a timely fashion while maintaining friendly conversation
- Roll silverware and clean menus
- Manage the restaurant wait list to meet guests' expectations of the wait
- Sincerely thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
- Perform light cleaning duties
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months of guest service experience; food service experience preferred
- Able to speak, read, and understand English
- Demonstrated ability to interact with guests and team members in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work well under pressure and with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
- Effective problem-solving and information analysis skills
- Able to lift up to 20 lbs. as needed
- Able to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time
- Able to perform continuous use of hands and arms, including bending, reaching, and twisting
