Core Functions

• Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to guests.
• Cheerfully and courteously greet and escort guests to tables and assist in seating at tables; present menus and extend congenialities ensuring restaurant’s standards of service.
• Absorb responsibilities for preparing the restaurant for service and maintaining the cleanliness of the dining room at all times.
• Absorb responsibilities for overseeing all aspects of restaurant during absence of Restaurant Manager and/or Supervisor.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, specials, liquor/beer/non-alcoholic selections available in the restaurant.
• Maintain good guest relations by keeping abreast of all in-house and area functions in order to answer questions and concerns with timely and knowledgeable responses.
• Inspect tables and stations ensuring that all set ups meet the department standards. Check throughout meal period. Relay deficiencies to respective team members and follow up on corrections.
• Answer restaurant telephone courteously and efficiently as specified in department standards.
• Extend courteous departures as guests leave the restaurant.
• Ensure tables are cleaned and reset according to standards.
• Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department, restaurant and hotel.
