About the role

As a Host, you are the first and last person each guest sees. You provide a warm welcome and farewell, manage table times, and ensure guests’ seating preferences are accommodated whenever possible.

Responsibilities

• Take reservations using the OpenTable online reservations system
• Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival and thank them as they leave
• When seating is limited, provide guests with estimated wait times, notify parties when tables become available, and accommodate special seating requests
• Act as a liaison between the kitchen and dining room, relaying messages to support staff and managers as needed

Requirements

• At least one year of restaurant host experience
• Positive energy and a team-player mindset, ready to assist fellow staff
• Strong communication skills with managers, employees, and guests
• Flexible schedule to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods, with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting
