Position Summary

Big Red Restaurant & Sports Bar, 8933 Andermatt, Lincoln, NE, has an excellent opportunity for hosts in their high volume, full-service restaurant and sports bar. The Host provides warm, friendly, and immediate greetings to our guests at the door. Seats, and presents clean menus to guests in a friendly, professional, and quick manner. The host is the first face our guests see and interact with.

Responsibilities

• Provides warm, friendly, and immediate greetings to our guests at the door.
• Sets up tables and seats guests in a friendly, professional, and quick manner.
• Presents clean menus to guests in a friendly, professional, and quick manner.
• Ensures that all guests are seated promptly and efficiently.
• Assists with tableside service and maintains a clean and organized dining area.
• Handles guest inquiries and complaints in a courteous and professional manner.
• May assist with special events and promotions as needed.

Requirements

• Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
• Must have a positive attitude and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and co-workers.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment preferred.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays.

Skills

• Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Shifts are typically 6 hours long, Monday through Saturday, with some Sunday availability.
