Host

Responsibilities

• Seat guests
• Manage the seating chart using a tablet/paging system
• Monitor restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow
• Respond to guests’ inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner
• Organize and clean the host stand area on a daily basis
• Perform opening and closing duties
• Carry plates and glasses using trays if needed

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a Host in a full-service restaurant
• Passion for excellent customer service
• Outgoing personality—a “people person”
• Ability to stay positive and calm under pressure
• Excellent communication skills with guests, co-workers, and management
• Ability to work as a team with other hosts and staff
