Host an International High School Exchange Student (Norfolk, NE)

About the role

SHARE! Your Heart & Home with a high school exchange student. SHARE! students, aged 15-18 from various countries including France, Germany, Spain, China, Brazil, Poland, Italy, Mexico, Japan, and South Korea, are seeking host families.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and welcoming environment for the exchange student
• Attend the local high school with the exchange student
• Help the exchange student adjust to life in the new country
• Ensure the exchange student has access to medical care if needed
• Support the exchange student with personal expenses
• Participate in cultural activities and events

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Willingness to provide a home and support for the exchange student
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Availability to host the exchange student for a full school year or semester

Qualifications

• Willingness to embrace diversity and open-mindedness
• Good health and willingness to participate in physical activities
• Ability to manage time effectively and balance hosting responsibilities
